Automate Your Work With Scripts
Don't be afraid of scripts! I know enough to be dangerous! Learn to automate some common tasks, pre-populate forms, set limits to a Form, and pull pieces of relevant data using the AutoCrat, FormLimiter, FormRanger, and PushData scripts. It's some work up front, but in the long run, it's going to save you a lot of time and colleagues will wonder how you are so darn efficient!

Google Drive: Empowering Students
Ever struggle with creating student excitement about learning?

By using Google's Apps for Education tools: Docs, forms, and presentation, teachers can quickly and easily differentiate learning for students and create a 21st century learning environment which engages and challenges all students (NETS-S 4b).

The presenters have used this format to determine students’ prior knowledge of a given topic and then differentiate learning to allow high achieving students to flourish while providing scaffolded activities for students who are on grade level or below (NETS-S 2d, 4b). Students are also able to reflect and collaborate with classmates on assignments (NETS-S 1c).

This strategy empowers students to own their learning and become excited about otherwise mundane curriculum. It allows students to demonstrate their understanding of concepts through a creative outlet. (NETS-S 1a).

The strategies learned in this presentation are easily adaptable to any subject area. Examples will be provided from subject areas of English, Science, Social Studies and Civics.
